Humanize Your Brand

It’s easy to write emails in a cold, impersonal, ‘marketing’ way. But, people respond better to emails that are written with warmth, personality, and humanity.

This means keeping your language simple. It means sharing about the humans behind the brand. It means talking about real challenges, real experiences, and real emotions. Design an email template in a way that grabs their attention, builds anticipation, and finishes with a call-to-action. It’ll look like an inverted pyramid. At the top, across the width of the email, is an image with words that grab their attention. Then, as they move down the email with their eyes, they read text that leads them to what you want them to do. Finally, at the bottom, at the tip of the upside-down pyramid, is the button you want them to click.

Less is more. You can use the inverted pyramid to get people to take action with as few words as possible.
