Top Digital Marketing Trends for 2024: Part 2

Last week we touched upon some of the top digital marketing trends for this year- but that list was by no means comprehensive. Below are some other online marketing trends that you’ll want to stay on top of.

Social media stores are gaining in popularity

When brands post content to their social media pages- the posts can last forever. Stories, on the other hand, only last for 24-hours.  Not only can stories be used to announce last-minute sales, upcoming events, or new products that you’re about to launch, they can also be used to conduct polls, ask questions, or send out a call to action.  Also, notable, is that stories can be sent out using geo and location filters- which allow you to target specific types of users located in a particular area.  For example, one member of our team said that after she did some online searches for a new couch, she began seeing ads in her Instagram stories for several furniture stores that are in her area.

Content marketing is still king

Content marketing isn’t just about blogging- it’s about creating unique, valuable content, such as blogs, articles, emails, and white papers, among others, designed to attract the attention of new customers.  When done correctly, it can help you build (and enhance) your brand’s relationship with current and potential clients.

One company we know of, that’s marketing their “social beverage” as an alternative to alcohol, recently sent out an email campaign suggesting that readers who are tired of waking up with hangovers after a night of drinking sweet, sugar-free cocktails (served by bartenders in pirate attire), may be interested in swapping out booze for something that’s 100% hangover free. The messaging was not only hilarious- it was nothing shy of brilliant.  For more information about why content marketing is valuable, and how you can incorporate it into your digital strategy, call our office today to speak with an online marketing strategist.

Voice search has become increasingly popular

Is your website optimized for voice search? If it’s not, you could be missing out on valuable conversion opportunities. Although optimizing for traditional searches is still extremely important- a growing number of users have started to use things such as Alexa and Siri to search for products and services. For more information on how optimizing your website for voice search differs from having it optimized for a keyboard search, call WBN Marketing today to learn more.
